A general location map identifying
the project site in relation to the
state of Washington and
the Columbia River.

This is the turbine arrangement
indicating its proximity to the
Columbia River and leased
land ownership, shown by the
different colors in the turbine area.

Klickitat County

This is a view of the project site from
the Oregon side of the Columbia River.
The project will be located on the bluffs
in the far horizon of the photograph and
consequently will not be that easily seen.

Typical view of vegetation in the grazing
area, non-cultivated area, of the project.
The darker areas indicate fairly bare
rocky areas intermixed with grassy areas.
The rocky areas are classified as
"Lithisol" and support vegetation
such as lichens and other plants
peculiar to this soil/rock mix.

Soil borings were taken to a depth of
up to 35 feet to determine the soil and
rock composition under the surface of the
project area. Displayed in this view is one of
the drill rigs used for this investigation.

This view includes one of the temporary
meteorological towers located in a section
of the project currently in the federal
Conservation Reserve Program, CRP.
This program is intended to provide erosion
protection and wildlife habitat. Impacts in each
of the CRP areas will be less than 5 acres.
